Chemically active rubber powder RKL-2020 and its unique qualities

For rubber powder re-use critical factor is its chemical activity. Powder should be capable to enter into a curing reaction.

If mechanical destruction tears apart carbonic chain in rubber, there originate double bonds. They allow rubber powder to en- ter the curing reaction. This is exactly what the method of Klish- chenko-Lurye provides.

In several tests we confirmed that RKL-2020 has specific mature surface that is chemically active — it easily gets vulcanized.

Klishchenko-Lurye Method

The base of rubber is caoutchouc, either natural or synthetic, which determines main properties of the rubber material. To enhance physical- mechanical properties of rubber qualities various additives are used. Thus, rubber typically consists of caoutchouc and additional ingredients.

Majority of caoutchoucs are unsaturated high-polymeric (carbochain) chemical compounds with dual chemical bonds between atoms of carbon in elementary chains of the macromolecules.

After many years of research, we have defined regimes that enable restoration of dual bonds between carbon atoms in macromolecules. This restores properties of the primarily volcanized rubber (UAB “Selfus” know- how).

This makes given technology profitable, considering also that it results with acquiring chemically active rubber powder RKL-2020.
